Albert's Personal Page

Hi! Glad to see that you made it to my personal web-page. As you can see, I've got a lot of work to do to make it interesting. Just to get started, I think it's pretty obvious from my choice of a tank-track background, that I like tanks, and other "macho" stuff. I chose this background because I play a lot of War Games and Shoot-em-up Games, like Command and Conquer, Red Alert, Empire, and Doom. But I have many other interests.

One of my most rewarding activities is the work I do with the Royal Canadian Army Cadets. I have been involved with the cadets for almost 15 years now. I started with 2825 RCACC at Stonewall, Manitoba, in 1983, and I transferred to 2837 RCACC (Yellowknife) in 1984. The first "All Night Vigil" was held in Yellowknife in November, 1984, after I had worked with the Stonewall cadets on their 1982 and 1983 All Night Vigils.

Every May long weekend, the Corps has a 3-day field exercise. As a result, I rarely get to spend my birthday at home, since it usually occurs while I am working on the field exercise. The actual exercise is bracketted by several days of preparation, and of take-down, so that my involvement is usually for at least seven days. There are several other major exercises during the training year, and also a number of civic service days.

Other favourite activities that I am involved in include: snowmobiling (I love my "Cat!"), fishing, hunting, boating, and camping, and target shooting. I also enjoy flying with my friend Ron Ross, in his ultralight, and tinkering with vehicles (I'm a Ford fan) with my mechanic friend Neil McBride.

My pets include two cats, Jennifer and Rufus (I love my cats!). My favourite TV shows include the X-Files, Star Trek, ST-The New Generation, and ST-Voyager, Millennium, and just about anything that is shown on the History Channel.
