I am Dan Magrum and I live in Fargo, ND. I recently did a search on the Magrum name and your address came up. A few months ago I also did a search on the Magrum name and I located some other Magrums that I did not know existed. Enclosed is the letter I sent to Deb Magrum and Also enclosed is some information she sent me. Hope its what you are looking for . It appears that we may be related also. Her is some information on my family if you are interested.
I have a wife (Dee Ann), 2 boys (Matthew and Dylan) and 1 girl (Hannah). My parents are Vince and Eleanor Magrum. They live and farm near Braddock, ND. My dad was an only child. My oldest brother out of 10 kids is Terry Magrum. He lives in CA. He is married (Jackie) and has 1 boy (Ben) and 1 girl (Ashley). The second oldest child was Sharon. Sharon was killed in a plane crash in 1984. Sharon was 26 at the time and was living with her child and Husband, Jeff Strickland in Billings, MT. All were in the plane together. Pat Magrum lives in Casper, WY. He is married (Marie) and has 1 boy (Chris) and 1 girl (Afton). Greg Magrum lives in Williston, ND. He is divorced (Michelle) and ownes a car dealership (Magrum Motors). He has 3 boys (Jake, Jordan, and Andy). Bruce Magrum also lives in Casper, WY. He is married (Sandy) and has 1 boy (Ryan) and 1 girl (Jamie). Mark Magrum lives and helps out on the family farm. He is not married. Jeff Magrum lives in Hazelton, ND. He is married (Donna) and has 1 boy (Erin) and 1 girl (Brianna). I was the 7th child. Richard lives in CA. He is not married. Jodi is the youngest. She lives in Minneapolis, MN. She is married and recently had her 1st Child (Miracle).
My Grand Father was Bernard Magrum. He died before I was born. He is buried at the cemetery in Braddock, ND. His wife Lena later got remarried after they divorced and is living in Seattle, WA. Bernard had siblings. Who they are and how many there are is not well known by me.
My Great Grand Father was Edward Magrum. He also died before I was married. I don’t know much about him.
I was wondering what you know of your genealogy. Do you know where your family origin is from and how far back does go?
There is much about the Magrum ancestry that I don’t know. I know that my dad has some information that goes back quit a ways. I hope to get this information, and if you were so inclined I would be happy to convey this to you, when it becomes available.

Sorry it has taken me awhile to get back with you about your Jan 3 message but we have been fighting what-for-us-is bad weather and although I was pretty sure we are cousins I wanted to double check info with my dad. Here's what he has given me from oldest to most current:
John & Elizabeth Magrum (Oak Harbor, OH) Edward Magrum (your great grandfather) Greg Magrum (my grandfather) married Laura Schultz [Laura passed away in 1996 at 97 years old -- Greg was about 20 yuears older than Laura) Bob Tony Pete George (first white man in Yellowstone, NW Territory) Charlie (not sure) Rosalie (married a McIntosh & had 10-12 kids) Bertha (married Tom McHugh) Madeline
Edward Magrum married Bertha Bernard (your grandfather) Corky Spike John Clarence (deceased -- had orange orchard in Florida) Josephine Virginia (nun) Martha (supposedly lives near you in N.D.) Mary Angie Jim (has a son Paul; both live in Colorado -- Paul has a shoe repair & so does my father here in Bowling Green, Ohio)
Greg Magrum (my grandfather & your great uncle) & Laura Wilma (husband Woodie Wilkins) & children Susan, William (Bill) & David) live in Tiffin, OH. I believe she is the oldest & about 80 yrs. old Glen (deceased & divorced early in marriage from Helen; children Bud, Dan, Judy, Rita but don't know much about where kids are since they lived with their mother -- we know they grew up in Reno, NV area) Catherine (Kate) (deceased this past fall but married to Joe Parker who lives in Fremont, OH; daughter Valerie) Charles (Chuck) (deceased; married to Lois, who lives in Palm Harbor, FL; children, Susan, Greg (deceased), Lori, Charles (Skip), Terry) Cleotis (Cody) (lives in Monroe, MI; divorced with children Mary Kay, Gloria, Steven (Baptist minister in Michigan), & Amy Theresa (married to Richard Duling, live in Northwood, OH; children, Jeff, Roger, Cindy & Larry) Francis James (Frank or Jim) -- MY FATHER & baby of the family (married to Beverly; live in Bowling Green, OH; children Deborah (myself), Brenda, James. My father, as I mentioned earlier, is a shoe repairman & I believe is the only one in the family not retired yet. I am the oldest (42), have worked at BGSU for almost 21 years,& am married to Jim Bridenbaugh who is a jr. h.s. teacher; no children. Brenda is almost 40, works in grain accounting at a place called The Anderson's, recently divorced (from Jim Bragg) w/2 children Toni & James; James (Jim) is 28 years old, a machinist & single. As you can see, we are a family of Jims. My mother Beverly helps my father at the shoe repair and works part-time in the BGSU post office.
My father was pretty excited about your e-mail. My parents just took a trip out West this fall & stopped to see Paul in Colorado & had planned to make a stop in the Dakotas on their way back but because of my Aunt Kate's death had to come straight home. When my husband & I were on a trip out West a few years ago, we came through Williston & saw Magrum Motors & took a picture. We were there on a Sunday so it was closed or we would have probably found out about your family earlier.
